Shaving concoction

Store bought shaving creams are a funny thing. Venus’ adverts have long enticed many of us to buy their shaving creams. Personally, I never found the creams pleasant to use. It leaves a weir film on my skin and my skin in not adequately protected during the shaving process. I have also tried epilating but the time needed can be a bit frustrating. As for waxing, I find it too expensive and to date have as of yet not found a good enough waxer (any tips would be most welcome).

A few years ago I came up with this little mix which is easy to make and makes your legs feel soo smooth.

Ingredients:

Ripe banana

Almond oil- An amazing remedy for dry skin. Very moisturising without being to oily.

Blend the banana until smooth. Add 1 tablespoon of almond oil. That’s it! In the shower, slather your leg and shave!

This sounds delightful! I am not a fan of chemical-laden, unnatural shaving creams. II use an awesome natural shaving cream–Kiss My Face Fragrance-Free Moisture Shave. It’s slippery, moisturizing and a little goes a long way. I never though to use banana puree/almond oil mix. I might try it in the future.
